Emily Andrews

(She also likes cycling and beer)

Butte Theater Foundation Executive Director

Emily Andrews attended the University of Colorado Denver and received a Bachelors of the Arts degree in Theatre Production. She has additional business training through Front Range Community College and the Small Business Development Center. She worked 5 years with Backstory Theatre Academy in Broomfield, Colorado helping to create and build their education and community programming, before leaving to open her own production company. Her production company, Bub Comedy, opened in Longmont, Colorado in 2014 and has produced over 200 shows and 3 annual comedy festivals through small businesses in the Longmont area. With a focus on connecting local artists and local venues, Bub Comedy has excelled in making valuable relationships within the community and bringing comedy and entertainment to growing businesses. Bub Comedy’s annual comedy festival, The Longmont Laugh Fest, boasts 10 different shows in 10 different venues with comics flying in from all over the country. Emily also worked as Business Development Director for Realities for Children Boulder County, served as the President of Artwalk Longmont producing street art festivals three times a year, and emerged as a business leader in the community through extensive volunteer efforts, including Event Coordination of Longmont’s inaugural Startup Week.

Emily joined The Butte Theater in Spring of 2017. Originally a part time employee, Emily’s efforts were focused on growing the theater’s community programming. By the beginning of 2018, she was moved to a full time position. She has more than doubled the size of the community and educational programs, helped orchestrate the shift to a new professional production company, and now manages all three programs to ensure the continued success and growth of the theater.

When not producing, Emily likes to write think-pieces, sketches and comedy sets that have all received rave reviews from her rescue dog Paxton, and casual indifference from her cat Riker Oakenshield.
