Plan Your Visit

We make it easy to plan your visit to the Butte!

The theater is accessible for people with disabilities, with accessible seating and an elevator available to reach the lobby.
Welcome to Cripple Creek, a historic mining town with an elevation of 9494, that is one of the most dynamic and scenic tourism destinations in Colorado. The grandly restored Old West brick buildings along Bennett Avenue are surrounded by majestic mountains, and wild donkeys roam the streets.

In addition to the Historic Butte Theater, Cripple Creek boasts nine unique state-of-the-art casinos and several great restaurants, shops, museums, historic gold-mining attractions, and hotels.

There are many ways to explore Cripple Creek and the surrounding area: bike it, Jeep it, hoof it, raft it, ride it, or just plain hike it!

The excitement that drove the Greatest Gold Rush Ever still lives in Cripple Creek!
For more information on events, activities and attractions, we recommend you check out the City of Cripple Creek site to plan your visit!
